Since 1939, the Eldorado Ballroom has been a cultural cornerstone of Third Ward. Opened by Anna and Clarence Dupree, this space gave Black musicians and community members a space to gather, dance, and celebrate. Thanks to restoration efforts led by Project Row Houses, the Eldorado is once again open to the public. With spaces like The Rado MKT, Kindred Stories, and the original upstairs ballroom, the Eldorado continues to serve as a home for the arts, history, and connection. Then, now, always.

🌱 Rooted in Legacy Alabama Gardens has been a quiet but powerful force for food justice and community health since 1985. It started when Verious and Voyall Smith and a group of friends began gathering on an overgrown. What began as a space to share stories soon became a garden full of produce. These were crops that neighbors loved and needed, especially in a community with limited access to grocery stores.
