MENTENG'S FIRST HOSPITAL 1946 Following World War II, Batavia/Djakarta's rapidly expanding population generated a significant demand for more hospital beds and medical services. The Red Cross helped establish a new hospital in Menteng on Mampangweg (Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro), which opened as the Princess Margriet Hospital on 27 April 1946.
