Wasps unleash their flamethrowers during a demonstration. The Wasp was a modified Universal Carrier (popularly though inaccurately known as the Bren Gun Carrier), fitted with fuel tanks and a flame gun. Unlike the larger Churchill Crocodile, reserved for specialist units, the Wasp was used by conventional infantry battalions, who had a Carrier Platoon of 13 vehicles.
