I rode to the middle of the Willamette River and talked to a homeless man who lives there. Portland has two major rivers and countless other waterways. Approximately 100 homeless people live on our waterways. Many used to live in tense, but chose to live in the river because it’s safer. #homeless | Truth on the streets

A mentally ill homeless man was threatening multiple people. @pacificechelon stepped in and threw verbal, de-escalation effectively got the guy to stand down and walk away. He was trespassed from the area from a staff member at an area nonprofit. We have a severe mental health crisis on the streets of Portland. #homeless | Truth on the streets
