Jack Carr on Instagram: "Charles Norman Shay From @history WWII hero Charles Norman Shay, an elder of Maine’s Penobscot Indian Nation, served valiantly on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day as a medic at the age of 19. Shay later received a Silver Star for his service during the war. He has died at the age of 101."
