At the beginning of this month, Wild Horse Connection’s Nevada rescue volunteers spotted a one-day-old foal who had become separated from her mom. The volunteers watched her move from mare to mare in an attempt to nurse, without success. The little foal tried to keep up with the roaming band - but soon she was overcome with exhaustion and dehydration. She laid down on the ground to sleep. As she slept, the bands continued on. If not for the rescue team, she would have awoken alone in the wildern
