Found in Southwest Ranches, this Eastern Whip-poor-will (23-5936) was found stunned after flying into a window. A concerned citizen noticed the injured bird and transported them to our center for rehabilitation. An intake exam revealed superficial ulcers on both eyes. Despite the aerial collision, this Whip-poor-will is able to perch and fly extremely well. Medicated eye drops were prescribed for the ulcers, and once healed, will be ready for release.
