January 1, 1977: Ohio State fullback Pete Johnson scores on a 3-yard touchdown run to give the Buckeyes a 17-10 lead against Colorado in the 1977 Orange Bowl. Notice the old T-formation. It was the 58th touchdown of Johnson's college career. Ohio State would go on to win 27-10. It was the only appearance by an Ohio State football team at the Orange Bowl stadium. January 1, 1977: Ohio State linebacker Tom Cousineau intercepts a pass during a 27-10 victory over Colorado in the 1977 Orange Bowl. The sophomore from Lakewood, Ohio was named the game's defensive MVP. Cousineau was among the last Buckeyes to play for longtime head coach Woody Hayes.
