The 44 year-old Texas fireballer, who strikes out 16 batters, becomes the oldest major leaguer ever to throw a no-hit game. The 33,439 in attendance witnessed the first no-hitter by a Rangers pitcher in Arlington Stadium. In doing so, Ryan had authored three more no-hitters than Sandy Koufax, who is alone in second place
