Roll out! CSX Locomotive 1877 honoring the Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad has officially joined our heritage fleet. The C&EI Railroad, founded in 1877, played a critical role connecting Chicago with southern Illinois, St. Louis, Mo., and Evansville, Ind., during the expansive growth of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
