The Bouree is a dance whose origins are in central France and is sometimes called the 'French clog dance' so we clogged it up here in our version for hardanger fiddle and violin! Bach was the master of reinvention and we would love him to have heard our version, especially as some of the movements of the solo works for violin and cello are rich with folk music.
