Feb 19, 2024 · Here in Austin, rent has become crazy and unsustainable. I'm currently suffering from this myself. My complex is owned by Greystar Management Services. Many Landlords are being sued Federally (with support from the DOJ)

Greystar was the WORST management company we ever had too. When they bought our apartment complex, they came in and basically told the current office staff to pack their shit and get out by lunch. Didn't give anyone warning, didn't even let them contact anyone to say goodbye, and got shitty with residents when we complained.

Greystar luckily pulled out of my apartment, but the worst thing about them was how understaffed they kept the leasing office (only 2 people lol) and Fetch. That company has 500+ complaints on BBB. The only reason its made mandatory by Greystar properties is because its owned by a relative of greystar’s CEO or something.

Greystar is the worst of the worst. I lived in a Greystar in a different city that was family owned before and bought out by Greystar while I lived there and it was an immediate difference, right down to the attitudes of the office workers, everything changed overnight.
