The American golfer won his first golf major championship at Oakmont Country Club after an incredible showing on the 18th hole during the final round.

J.J. Spaun managed the rain and tough Oakmont course to win the 2025 U.S. Open, the first major victory for the California-native.

"Our purse is $21.5 million. Winner's check is $4.3 million. We didn't raise our purse this year," USGA CEO Mike Whan said.
