LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- With Santa Ana winds causing increased fire danger, Southern California Edison is considering shutting off power to more than 85,000 customers in five counties on Thanksgiving.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – Southern California Edison is considering power shutoffs for parts of Southern Santa Barbara County June 11 through June 12 due to an increased fire risk in the area.

Prepare for more power shutoffs when it’s hot and windy this year. That’s the message coming from Southern California Edison, the utility that serves an estimated 15 million people across the region.
