California Gov. Gavin Newsom is vowing to reject a bill which would limit cooperation between state prisons and federal immigration officials if it reaches his desk. AB 15, introduced in December, seeks to expand the California Values Act to include the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Gov. Newsom's office said he would again veto a bill that sought to restrict state prison officials' cooperation with federal immigration authorities seeking to deport felons.
