DOGE chief Elon Musk recently signalled at a conference that the USPS and the passenger rail service Amtrak should be privatised to resolve their long-standing financial challenges.

A bill in the Florida Legislature could set the stage for the return of an Amtrak service which has not been directly connected to Orlando since 2005.
