Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the green. Nifty 50 closed at 22,544.70, while Sensex ended at 74,340.09. Overnight, Wall Street indices ended lower. Nasdaq dropped 2.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a negative start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 22,555 level, a discount of nearly 65 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

Indian equity benchmark indices, BSE Sensex and Nifty50, rallied strongly in trade on Thursday. While BSE Sensex went above the 74,300 mark, Nifty50 was above 22,500.
