The fifth time’s a charm for former Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. After narrowly missing out on the gold jacket in each of his previous years of eligibility, Allen’s wait finally ended on Thursday night when he was officially elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Four new NFL legends are headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Former defensive end Jared Allen, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, former cornerback Eric Allen and former San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates all got the call that they will be getting their gold jackets.

On Thursday night, defensive end Jared Allen was named one of four members for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2025 class. He will be inducted this summer alongside Sterling Sharpe, Eric Allen and Antonio Gates.

Jared Allen, who played for the Bears in 2014 and 2015, has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
