Brooklyn Nets forward Haywood Highsmith may miss the beginning of training camp due to knee surgery, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

The Brooklyn Nets completed their third trade of the summer yesterday with the acquisition of Haywood Highsmith from the Miami Heat. The Nets also picked up a 2032 second-round pick from the Heat while sending a 2026 pick back to the Heat.

In a move that takes the team below the punitive NBA luxury tax, the Miami Heat are trading forward Haywood Highsmith and a 2032 second-round draft choice to the Brooklyn Nets.
