NORFOLK, CT (WFSB) - Snow continued to fall across northwest Connecticut Monday, with Norfolk expected to see some of the heaviest accumulation in the state. Accumulations of 1-3 inches were forecasted. Little to no accumulation was expected along the shoreline.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A winter storm is dumping several inches of snow across Connecticut Friday into Saturday. Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories are in effect statewide from Friday evening through Saturday morning. Most of the state will see 4 to 8 inches, with lower amounts across far northeastern Connecticut.
Citing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, DOT shared that in 2022 “there were 498 fatal traffic crashes and an estimated 32,213 injury crashes that occurred when there was snow and/or sleet conditions at the time of the crash. CTDOT emphasizes that preparation is essential for safe winter driving.”
