Davis County schools will reopen Monday morning, Dec. 15, after being closed Friday, Dec. 12, after a case of pertussis (whooping cough) was confirmed in the Davis County Elementary School.
Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, is a bacterial disease that can cause long periods of coughing where an individual may gasp for air.
