North Texas had a soggy morning on Thursday, with showers moving through and strong to severe storms hitting the west side of the region, leaving a cool and cloudy afternoon and evening. Storms look to roll back in overnight and into Friday morning for North Texas.

Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds are expected to develop Friday evening and overnight.

Severe risk is a 2 out of 5 for most of southeast Texas with exception of areas northeast of Houston who have a 3 out of 5 risk level Saturday. Storms may produce heavy downpours, hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. As the afternoon approaches, so does the rain. Storms and showers move east along I-10.
