The New York Knicks are coming off of one of their most successful seasons after qualifying for the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000. However, just like in 2000, they fell to the Indiana Pacers and just short of a berth in the NBA Finals.

The NBA world was stunned to hear that the Knicks had decided to part ways with their head coach, Tom Thibodeau, after their most successful NBA Playoffs run in over two decades.

Tom Thibodeau was, by far, the best New York Knicks coach of the 21st century. He led the team to the playoffs in four of his five years on the job. The Knicks made the playoffs just four times in the 19 seasons before he was hired.
