After a decade of experimentation and expansion, the company says it wasn't able to find the right model for its Amazon-branded grocery and convenience stores.

The retailer is closing 57 Fresh and 15 Go stores, converting select sites to Whole Foods as it refocuses on grocery delivery.

Some locations will be converted into Whole Foods Market stores, the company said, though it did not say where.
