Brodie hasn't been great for the Blackhawks. He was signed for one year too long and is definitely a buyout candidate in the 2025 off-season with his contract and performance. He has a horrible goals for percent of 32.10%, two goals and nine points to go along with only 18 shots, and averages less than 16 minutes per game.

Tyler Bertuzzi started the season slowly. Since his first 10 games though, he has led the Blackhawks in scoring. His improvement is welcome.

But Davidson had expected the Blackhawks to be more competitive this year after they went 23-53-6 last season. The team was active in free agency, signing Tyler Bertuzzi, Teuvo Teravainen, T.J. Brodie and Alec Martinez as part of a flurry of moves.
