The governments of Sweden and Norway have announced plans to bolster Ukraine's defence industry with financial contributions.

Sweden announced it will boost Ukraine's air defenses with a new aid package just one day after Russia's largest drone strike.

European leaders have primarily focused on strengthening their defence commitments and ensuring continued support for Ukraine.

Sweden has announced a transfer of air defense systems worth 1.2 billion Swedish krona (approximately $113 million) to Ukraine, Svenska Dagbladet reported on Feb. 23.

"We're no longer a country that cannot be trusted," observes Micael Johansson, chief executive of Swedish defence company Saab, in reference to the nation's previous historic neutrality.
