Brad Marchand has been a staple of the Boston Bruins franchise since he broke into the NHL in 2009. He's been with them for 16 seasons and helped them win a Stanley Cup during the 2010-11 season, but his tenure ended on Friday when they traded him to the Florida Panthers.
Marchand is another huge acquisition for the Panthers, who brought in veteran defenseman Seth Jones in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks last Saturday, and needed a boost after losing the veteran forward Tkachuk to an upper body injury that has him week to week.
