Top lightweights Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev met in a short-notice fight in the co-main event of UFC 313. Headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev, UFC 313 was also originally supposed to feature a matchup between Gaethje and #6-ranked lightweight contender Dan Hooker.

UFC 313 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, headlined by Alex Pereira taking on Magomed Ankalaev.

Magomed Ankalaev scored a stunning upset with a unanimous decision to take Alex Pereira’s undisputed light heavyweight belt at UFC313.

Magomed Ankalaev didn't exactly wrestle the UFC light heavyweight title away from Alex Pereira, but he did manage to beat "Poatan" at his own game. Ankalaev is now the 205-pound champion after a surprising unanimous decision from the judges in Las Vegas following a very close five-round fight.

Justin Gaethje had his shot at the UFC lightweight title, but that doesn't mean he's done pursuing the belt. Gaethje, who bounced back from his KO loss to Max Holloway this past Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 313,
