The Cave-in-Rock Ferry is back open after it temporarily closed down on Wednesday due to high winds. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - District 1 stated the ferry stopped service on March 5. Winds in the area were steady throughout the day with gusts hitting above 40 mph.

Two people were killed when the driver of an electric vehicle crashed into an Illinois home, police say. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the Sunday, March 2, crash involving a Tesla in Woodridge, a southwestern suburb of Chicago, WGN reported.
