Netflix is raising its prices in Canada. The streaming giant says the monthly cost of its cheapest offering — the standard plan with ads — is going up by $2 to $7.99 per month. The standard plan without ads will increase by $2.50 per month to $18.99 while the premium plan jumps $3 per month to $23.99.
Netflix Canada has announced what's coming and new on the streaming service in February 2025. This is besides the price increase that happened yesterday. For Netflix Games, Carmen San Diego is now available.
E.T., Shawshank Redemption, The Big Sick and Hotel Transylvania are leaving Netflix. Amy Schumer's Kinda Pregnant, Gabby Petito docuseries, Robert De Niro's Zero Day and Kate Hudson's Running Point premiere.
The streaming service Netflix says it is raising prices again with plans to-reinvest back into programming, according to the company.
For customers with the standard plan that includes ads, the cost is going up by $2 to $7.99 per month. Customers using a standard plan without ads will pay another $2.50 per month, or $18.99. Those with the premium plan will see an extra $3 added to their monthly bills, totalling $23.99 per month.

Netflix will air a documentary film later this year on the Titan submersible that imploded on its descent to the Titanic wreck on June 18, 2023. International media rushed to St. John’s, Newfoundland after it was reported that contact with the submersible was lost.
The last Netflix price increase in Canada was in January 2022. Last year, it axed its cheapest ad-free plan, the $9.99/month Basic tier.
