Formula 1 team Aston Martin says Lance Stroll has been cleared to race at his home Canadian Grand Prix this weekend after missing the Spanish GP because of pain in his hand and wrist.

For the first time in his career, Lance Stroll crossed the finish line without earning points at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Lance Stroll surprised the Formula 1 universe by withdrawing from the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend, with rumours flying around about his absence. On Saturday, just hours after qualifying Aston Martin announced that Stroll would be missing Sunday’s race due to needing surgery to relieve his wrist/hand pain.
