The case of missing 37-year-old Huntsville realtor Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr. has escalated from a missing person case to an active abduction investigation, according to the Huntsville Police Department (HPD). “HPD obtained critical new evidence indicating that [Dumas] was abducted on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024,” the release reads.

Police are now saying a Huntsville real estate agent reported missing nearly two months ago was abducted, marking a "significant shift" in the case from early reports it did not appear he was in any danger.
