In its early days, Mayhem lived, more specifically, in Malibu. There, Lady Gaga and a small group of intimate collaborators — Polansky, along with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt and Canadian dance pop whisperer Cirkut — wrote and recorded the album at Rick Rubin’s storied Shangri-La studio.
