The Daytona Beach Police Department is increasing patrols after a shooting Saturday night along the boardwalk. Investigators say two groups began to argue when a gun was fired. Two 19-year-olds were shot, and both are expected to recover. Police say those involved were attending an unsanctioned Beach Day event.

Two 19-year-olds were shot during spring break festivities in Daytona Beach, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday. Both victims were taken to Halifax Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition.
