The NBA is going back to Mexico City next season, with the Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons set to play a regular-season game there on Nov. 1. The Mavericks currently have the No. 1 pick in this month's draft and are expected to select Duke's Cooper Flagg.

However, for the Mavericks to move on from somebody like Dereck Lively in this trade, they'd have to get back Reaves. Moving Lively to the Lakers, despite Los Angeles needing a center more than nearly every other team in the NBA, wouldn’t make much sense if Reaves isn't involved in the deal.

With the mistake that the Dallas Mavericks made when they traded Luka Doncic, it's easy to see why the team is excited about potentially adding a franchise-caliber player in the form of Cooper Flagg.
