Seattle Supersonics legend and NBA Hall-of-Famer Lenny Wilkens died on Sunday at the age of 88. Wilkins played 15 seasons in the NBA, including four with the Sonics. He was an All-Star in three of those four seasons, while also serving as the Sonics’ head coach.

Today, Russell is primarily remembered as the Hall of Fame center whose accomplishments on the court remain unmatched. While that is truly impressive, amid all the praise, his four seasons leading the SuperSonics from 1973 to 1977 shouldn't be forgotten.

According to former Seattle Supersonics point guard Eric Snow, he would never forget what His Airness said verbatim when they first went head-to-head. Snow recounted that MJ was trying to get the ball and he was ready to anticipate Jordan's move.
