Avatar: Fire and Ash' is nearing $1B worldwide, while all U.S. films hit a post Covid New Year's Day record of $48M+

The studio hasn't been able to claim this feat since 2019, with its tentpole 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' easily dominating the long holiday weekend as 'Anaconda,' 'Marty Supreme' and 'Song Sung Blue' join the box office buffet Christmas Day.

Avatar 3 has beaten Moana 2's $1.06 billion as the 10th highest-grossing film post-COVID at the worldwide box office.

Angel Studios’ David ranked fifth with $4.56M at 3,118 theaters and a running cume of $37M. Pic’s first week is 32% ahead of Angel Studios’ previous family animated title King of Kings ($28M) which ended its run at $60.2M.

Fire and Ash earned an estimated USD 345 million worldwide in its first three days, with strong reception in China, but lower figures than other 2025 blockbusters and its own predecessor. The film is lagging behind Dhurandhar in India.
