SALT LAKE CITY ( KTVX) — A person is dead after they were struck by crossfire during an incident at a “No Kings” protest in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday, police have confirmed.
The estimated 70,000+ peaceful demonstrators had various grievances with the Trump administration, but immigration policy was the prevailing theme.
The ‘No Kings’ rally held outside of Highland Park City Hall on June 14 gathered 3,000 for a peaceful protest on Saturday, organizers said.
The Houston demonstration is one of several planned in the region throughout the day and is expected to draw thousands of protesters.
