The commute in New Jersey got off to a late, slow start on Monday as the region dug out from the storm. The PATH train system — which connects Newark, Jersey City and Hoboken to Manhattan — was running on a Saturday schedule, with some enhanced service, said its operator, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
NJ Transit service will be reduced on some lines and Midtown Direct trains to Manhattan will be diverted to Hoboken for four weeks in mid-February.
