Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano has clarified exactly what happened when Lionel Messi met Donald Trump during the club’s visit to the White House.

Miami were invited to visit the White House in accordance with a longstanding tradition of the President addressing championship-winning teams.

Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas added a ceremonial touch by presenting Trump with a pink club jersey, a pink soccer ball, and a limited-edition Inter Miami watch engraved with his name.
