USA TODAY Sports coaches poll ranking for Florida on Selection Sunday
The top five of the USA TODAY Sports men's basketball Coaches Poll remained unchanged—including the Florida Gators—but saw a big shakeup down ballot.
Vanderbilt last made the SEC Tournament championship in 2012 in New Orleans, the last time the Commodores won the title. Vanderbilt led, 84-70, with 2:25 to go in the second half. Florida coach Todd Golden was assessed a technical foul after the Gators called timeout with 8:11 remaining in the second half. Vanderbilt held a 74-51 lead.
Just minutes after Florida lost to Vanderbilt in the semifinals of the SEC tournament, ESPN's Joe Lunardi gave the Gators some good news before Selection Sunday.
