Corden claimed in an X post that a version of Playground Games's reboot of Fable for Switch 2 "isn't 100% definite for now." In a follow-up post, Corden stated that a port is not currently in development because of "purely logistics," but he expressed belief that it'll eventually happen.
Xbox Game Studios recently revealed Playground Games' upcoming Fable reboot properly, showcasing a bunch of gameplay that stays true to the classic series while throwing in a few intriguing evolutions for good measure.
Fable is headed to the Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, with developer Playground Games actively considering a Nintendo Switch 2 release.
The Developer Direct included an extended presentation about the reboot from Playground Games. "Fable is Playground's first open-world action-RPG," studio founder and general manager Ralph Fulton explains. "Although our game is a new beginning, I think what we're making is really faithful to the spirit of the classic Lionhead trilogy we all love."
At long last, Fable has finally given fans a gameplay deep-dive and has confirmed a release window for Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
It won’t be too long to wait for more clarity, however, as Microsoft has promised that the first extended look at Fable will take place during its next Xbox Developer Direct, which takes place on Thursday, January 22 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
