The Detroit Lions will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.

CANTON ‒ The Detroit Lions will play the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Hall of Fame Game during Enshrinement Week. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. July 31 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Both teams made playoff runs last season, with the Lions finishing with a record of 15-2 and the Chargers rounding out their regular season at 11-6.

Detroit native and legendary Chargers tight end Antonio Gates headlines this year's four-person Hall of Fame class. Gates, former Green Bay Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe, ex-Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and longtime NFL cornerback Eric Allen will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Aug.
