Aaron Rodgers sobbed, according to the Athletic, when Mike Tomlin announced to the team he was stepping down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Jan. 12 after another wild-card round exit.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have "verbally agreed" with Mike McCarthy to become their next head coach, the team announced in a statement Saturday afternoon.

McCarthy brings 18 years of head coaching experience to Pittsburgh.
