Victoria Mboko didn’t even have a picture on the WTA website before the National Bank Open in Montreal. Now, the 18-year-old is set to face Naomi Osaka in the first WTA final of her career.

Eighteen-year-old Victoria Mboko lost the first set 6-1 before rallying to complete a stunning semi-final win over ninth seed, and former Wimbledon champion, Elena Rybakina in a third-set tie-breaker;

Mboko is just the third wildcard to reach the final at the Canadian Open in the Open Era after Monica Seles in 1995 and Simona Halep in 2015. She now faces Naomi Osaka for the chance to win a first WTA title.
