Inside the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Apple AAPL rallied 0.5% Friday premarket, on pace to extend a win streak to three sessions. Shares are attempting to regain their long-term 200-day line for the first time since March.

Apple's stock surge on Wednesday added $153 billion in market capitalization to the iPhone maker, its eighth biggest one-day gain on record. Wednesday's market-cap gain was larger than the individual market caps of the smallest 435 companies in the S&P 500 index,

The S&P 500 slipped 0.3 percent after briefly climbing to the edge of its record earlier in the morning. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.7 percent.
