The final in our series of East Coast storms is headed our way this weekend. And it could be the one with the biggest impact. We’re tracking a mix of snow, ice, and rain that’ll make for a wintry Saturday and sloppy Sunday.

Precipitation types will vary this weekend, likely starting with snow Saturday morning, shifting to rain Saturday afternoon and night, then switching back to snow as the cold air moves in on Sunday afternoon.

Northern New Jersey could get 2 to 4 inches of snow before a switch to a wintry mix. Heavy rain is expected Sunday.

According to David Bishop, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Portland, after a lull in the precipitation Thursday afternoon, freezing rain is now expected to start Thursday between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. That precipitation should start as freezing rain and transition to snow between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. or so, he said.

Well, here we are, the Philadelphia Eagles victory parade! While it will be a dry and mostly sunny day, it will also be very cold and windy the entire day, with gusts 25 mph, keeping the windchill temps below freezing all day long.

A few flurries or snow showers can be expected throughout the day, but we may see an uptick in snow shower activity this evening, especially after sundown.
