"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" has been renewed for Season 3 at Disney+ nearly a year before the show's second season premiere.

The streamer has renewed the series, based on author Rick Riordan’s quintet of novels, for a third season. The pickup comes well ahead of season two for Percy Jackson, which Disney+ says will premiere in December — two years after the debut of its first season.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has received a very early Season 3 renewal. The series recently wrapped production on its second season, which is slated to debut in December. Season 3 will focus on the third book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling series, The Titan’s Curse.

The fifth episode will premiere on Sunday, March 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. New episodes will air every Sunday after that until the finale on April 6. Here's the full release schedule:
