For the second time in his LIV Golf career -- and the second time in as many tournaments -- Sergio Garcia has won both individually and as a team captain. The Spaniard improved each day of LIV Golf Hong Kong with rounds of 65-64-63 to reach 18 under for the tournament and claim a three-stroke victory over Dean Burmester with Phil Mickelson rounding out the podium just one further adrift.

Sergio Garcia carded a 7-under 63 to capture a double victory at LIV Golf Hong Kong, winning both the individual and team titles. Phil Mickelson shot a 64 to stand on his first podium as a LIV member.

Led by their captain, Garcia, the Fireballs have now won back-to-back tournaments, having claimed LIV Golf Adelaide last month. They will head to next week’s LIV Golf Singapore seeking to become the first LIV Golf team to win three consecutive tournaments since the league expanded to a full 14-tournament schedule in 2023.

Phil Mickelson is currently one of the longest-tenured LIV Golf players. He’s also one of the oldest professional golfers excluding those on the PGA Tour Champions, a tour designed for retired players who are aging.

What’s coming next month is The Masters, where Mickelson has won three times. He also posted a T-2 finish at Augusta National in 2023 after shooting a final round 65. “That’s actually right in my thought process. However, for me to play well [at Augusta], I’ve got to build into it, which makes this tournament even more important,” Mickelson added.
