Seven girls teams earned championships at the recent AHSAA basketball finals with a player from each winning team selected MVP. Hoover won Class 7A with Kaitlyn Gipson earning MVP while Park Crossing’s Saniya Jackson led the Thunderbirds to the Class 6A title and Scottsboro’s Isabelle Nelson won Class 5A MVP.
